The theme of CHItaly 2025 is Technologies and Methodologies of Human-Computer Interaction in the Third Millenium”.

Over the past two decades, the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has undergone radical transformations due to the spread of new technologies and methodologies. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Robotics, voice interfaces, and wearable devices, it is necessary to explore how these innovations influence and shape interactions between users and digital systems. The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and developers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of these new technologies and methodologies in the contemporary context.

Venue

The conference will take place in Salerno, a historic town on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Salerno is situated at the heart of the Gulf of Salerno, the city acts as a gateway to the famous Amalfi Coast to the west and the Cilento National Park to the south. Its strategic position makes it an ideal hub for exploring the rich history and natural wonders of the Campania region.

Salerno boasts a captivating blend of ancient and modern attractions. The historic center, with its maze of alleyways, is home to the stunning Salerno Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture housing the relics of Saint Matthew. Nearby, the Minerva Garden offers a peaceful escape and highlights the city’s legacy as home to the first medical school in Europe. The Arechi Castle, perched high above the city, provides panoramic views of the Mediterranean and serves as a reminder of Salerno’s Lombard and Norman past.

The city’s lively “lungomare” promenade stretches along the coastline, inviting strolls with breathtaking views of the sea. Salerno also serves as a departure point for ferries to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri, making it a central hub for coastal exploration. The city also offers a vibrant nightlife, bustling port, and excellent transport links to regional treasures like Pompeii, Paestum, and Naples.
